April 9, 2006 Immigrant march for Dignity, Respect and Hope

Meet 1PM at: Balboa Park (6th and Laurel)
March Starting 2:00 PM at: Balboa Park (6th and Laurel)
Finishing at: County Administration Building 1600 Pacific Coast Highway

Principles of the March:

While representing diverse political affiliations and faith traditions, social and economic backgrounds, and racial and cultural heritages, we stand united in seeking comprehensive and humane immigration reform. Our many and diverse organizations unite on this occasion with the common objective to march on Sunday April 9th in an effort to mobilize the many San Diegans who support the following principles:

• We are opposed to the House of Representatives Bill # 4437.
• We are in favor of comprehensive and humane Immigration Reform.
• We are committed to respect and support each other in our efforts to make San Diego County an equitable and welcoming community that respects and embraces immigrants.
• We are inviting all organizations that support the above mentioned principles to endorse the April 9th March for Immigrant Dignity, Respect and Hope.

Principios de la Marcha:

Aunque representamos diversas afiliaciones políticas, diferentes religiones, diferentes niveles económicos, y diferentes culturas; nos unimos en una fuerza buscando un acuerdo migratorio comprensivo y humano. Organizaciones diversas nos unimos en esta ocasión con el objetivo común de marchar el día 9 de abril para movilizar la Comunidad de San Diego en apoyo a la manifestación:
Objetivos:

• Rechazamos la propuesta HR 4437.
• Estamos a favor de un acuerdo Migratorio Comprensivo y Humanitario
• Estamos Comprometidos a respetarnos y apoyarnos mutuamente al esfuerzo de hacer un Condado mas equitativo comunitario que respeta y de la bienvenida a los inmigrantes.
• Estamos invitando a todas las organizaciones que apoyan los objetivos mencionados arriba a que endorsen el día 9 de Abril para la marchar de la dignidad, respeto y esperanza de los Inmigrantes.
